Our research and development facilities include the following:

  • A Semi Anechoic Chamber measured to ISO3745 1977(E) Annex A.
  • A Semi reverberant room capable of achieving simulated vehicle noise levels in excess of 120dBA and designed to be used in accordance with MIL Std-912 and ANSI S12.6-1997.
  • Pambry designed and developed head and face simulators based on the industry standard "Sheffield" head for breathing mask, microphone and headset measurements.
  • Environmental test equipment including, temperature cycling cabinet, vibration rig, water submersion test, vacuum chamber & salt test facilities.
  • Model shop facilities for manufacturing test items and special test rigs.

Our test facilities include:

  • Bruel & Kjaer 4227, 4219, 4215 voice simulators.
  • Bruel & Kjaer 4152 and Gras IEC318 (equiv 4153) artificial ears.
  • A range of Bruel & Kjaer 1", ½" and ¼" microphones.
  • Bruel & Kjaer Pulse system 3560B used for acoustic testing utilising swept sine, total harmonic, spectrograph, spectrogram and many others.
  • SpectraPLUS high resolution acoustic analysis for noise measurements incorporating noise generation, sub-octave analysis, spectrogram & 3D surface plotting and many others.
  • Active and passive noise reduction measurements to ANSI S12.6-1997.

All Pambry Electronics Research and development equipment and facilities are available for in house or customer funded testing & 3rd party hire at Pambry's facility.

In the course of our acoustic research and development of audio and microphone products we have developed a number of items of test equipment which we now offer as products in their own right. Details of these can be seen in the page below.
